Group Power is one of our most popular group exercise program since step classes were first introduced.  Group Power is a challenging yet achievable program that uses adjustable barbells making it ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels. As you progress, simply add weight. 

Strength training can literally “turn back the clock” by simultaneously building muscle while body fat is burned away.  Improved lean muscle provides a better appearance, an increased ability to perform daily tasks and an elevated metabolic rate to help burn fat more efficiently.

"Group Power provides women with an alternative to the male-dominated weight room environment,” says Mike Arteaga. “Women especially benefit from strength training because it can significantly lower their risk for osteoporosis which cardiovascular exercise alone can’t do.”

Does your current exercise routine leave you spinning in circles?  Then it’s time to get moving!  Group Ride is the indoor cycling craze that is great for everyone because you control your pace.  So everyone from new exercisers to avid cyclists can benefit from the group dynamics and awesome music without the stress of competitive pressure.  Group Ride matches terrain with tempo and mixes great music with a great workout!   

Group Ride will take you through slow climbs, short sprints and recovery spins that present no barriers to coordination or boredom. Group Ride is particularly popular since it targets the lower body.  It also is a low-impact workout causing minimal stress on knees and joints.  In general, cycling has been found to be a great cardiovascular conditioner, which also builds strength in the back and legs, boosts endurance and reduces stress.

Finally, a program designed for able-bodied people who are not regular exercisers. Mike Arteaga's Health and Fitness Club is offerring the newest group fitness program – Group Active – which combines strength, cardio and flexibility into one class with great music. 

Group Active was in development for over a year with extensive testing to ensure participants are successful.  Group Active allows participants to go at their own pace with lots of options to increase or reduce the challenge.

Mike Arteaga says, “The music and structure of the class leaves participants excited about their next hour of Group Active.”  We recommend two Group Active classes each week to activate your life.

Group Kick is an extremely versatile program.  The workout intensity can be self-regulated by participants by simply increasing or decreasing the range and acceleration of movements.  Instructors are given strict guidelines for safe, maximum kicking heights and striking extensions.  By adjusting intensity to their physical ability, participants will achieve a safe, effective workout.
